Fuel pump chattering/ticking after i changer

2007 185 , replace fuel pump and now its ticking

It's pretty common to find air trapped in the lines after swapping out the pump. I'd recommend taking a close look at the fuel filter as well, just to be safe. Also, make sure that the pump is seated properly. By the way, is the sound a steady ticking, or does it come and go randomly?

Pretty simple, check your lines and fittings, maybe air got in somewhere or the pump pulsing if there's a restriction, then make sure the anti siphon valve isn't clogged or sticking

that screams air in the fuel system. It's super common after you break the lines. Diesels are notorious for needing to be properly bled to get all the air out.
That ticking sound is often the pump cavitating or air bubbles getting through.
you need to double check your bleeding procedure, you might still have a pocket of air somewhere in the lines or filters.
Keep running it, loosen bleed screws one by one, and pump the primer if you have one until you see pure fuel, no bubbles

My box truck had a similar issue. I was convinced something was wrong, but it turned out to just be air in the system. It took a bit of time to get everything primed correctly, like adjusting the filter screw, checking the lines, and even working with the hand pump. After I bled it completely, the ticking sound disappeared.
